Objectives:
- investigate consumer behavior in purchasing food from quality schemes (ECO, IK, PGI, PDO, ZTP, VK), specifically examining consumer awareness and behavior in deciding to purchase ECO and IK foods,
- investigate the behavior, goals, expectations, and visions of raw material suppliers, food producers, and retailers in relation to quality schemes (EKO, IK, PGI, PDO, ZTP, VK),
- identify the potential of networking among the members of the value chain of quality schemes (EKO, IK, PGI, ZOP, ZTP, VK),
- to develop and experimentally implement the concept of monitoring the sale of IK and ECO products in stores.
Expected results:
- A study of consumer expectations and behavior when buying food products from a quality scheme;
- A study of the status, goals, gaps, expectations and vision of raw material suppliers, food product manufacturers and trade regarding quality schemes;
- Case study - sale of selected food products of IK/EKO quality schemes;
- Guidelines for the development of a strategic plan for the promotion of quality schemes and for the development of communication plans for sectoral promotion schemes;
- Guidelines for the inclusion of producers in producer groups and solutions for eliminating barriers to inclusion, as well as an additional comparative analysis with examples of best practices abroad and in Slovenia;
- Guidelines for more efficient production and marketing: connecting the links in the chain.
